SCHOOL BOARD NEEDS CHANGE
Your chance to vote for two new members to the Monongalia County School Board arrives on Tuesday May 8 (also in early voting). While most races on the ballot are preliminary primary races, the school board race is final.
The next vote will not occur for two years, when two school board seats for candidates from the Central District (Woodburn and South Park and South Hills and surrounds) will be available to be contested, unlike this year.
Local American Federation of Teachers President Sam Brunett has some good thoughts on the limited pool of candidates running for the school board this term, below (from today’s Dominion Post). Time to vote out the incumbent:
